About the Club
Our objectives are to:

Promote interest in gardening and related creative activities

Improve and beautify our community

Provide garden education and information
PVGC supports club objectives by developing innovative programs for members, providing community services, and supporting horticulture endeavors in our community. Our club was organized and federated in September of 1961.
Our members are from all over North County Inland, including Poway, Carmel Mountain Ranch, Escondido, Fallbrook, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Penasquitos, San Diego and Scripps Ranch.

Our activities include:

Learning through guest speakers, member-led workshops, outings and mini-classes

Expanding creativity by creating garden crafts and dish gardens

Supporting the gardens at Old Poway Park and Lake Poway

Enriching the community with the annual Flower Show & Plant Sale

Supporting the Cleveland National Forest Reforestation Project
-
Collecting flowers and plants to distributed to assisted living facilities
-
Helping teach children about growing fruit and vegetables
-
Hosting plant sales and educational booths at at Old Poway Park events
-
Supporting schools and the horticulture community with financial grants
-
Assisting memory-care seniors with garden therapy activities

Participating in the San Diego Floral Association tree display in Balboa Park
